The School of Social Sciences at the University of Iceland is looking for an imaginative and creative intern who wants to gain practical experience in promotional and marketing work in a vibrant university environment.


The intern participates in a variety of projects related to the promotion of the department, marketing campaigns, social media, and daily marketing and promotional work.

Students must submit a CV and cover letter along with confirmation from Ugla that they have completed the required credits (90 ECTS in undergraduate studies and 30 ECTS in master's studies) with a minimum grade point average of 7.25.

Students can apply for more than one position, but must submit a cover letter for each application.

Job description
Participation in planning and implementing marketing campaigns Creating content for social media Conceptualizing promotional materials and campaigns Assistance with text creation, image selection and presentation of content Assistance with promoting studies, events and activities of the department Other occasional tasks related to promotional and marketing matters
Qualification requirements
  • Basic knowledge of marketing
  • Creative thinking and initiative
  • Creativity and interest in content creation
  • Good knowledge of Icelandic and the ability to present clear text
  • Interest in social media and digital media
  • Independent working style and good communication skills
