Job training at the Parkinson's Association

The Parkinson's Association is looking for enthusiastic students to participate in an exciting project. The internship is an ideal opportunity to gain practical experience at a non-profit organization that is rapidly developing and expanding – and has a positive impact on the lives of many individuals.

About the Parkinson's Association
The Parkinson's Association was founded in 1983. The organization's mission is to promote an increased quality of life for people with Parkinson's and related diseases and their families. The organization runs Takt Rehabilitation, which offers a variety of training, education, counseling and support at the St. Jó Quality of Life Center in Hafnarfjörður.

Practical information
Location: St. Jó Quality of Life Center, Suðurgata 41 in Hafnarfjörður.

Students must submit a CV and cover letter along with confirmation from Ugla that they have completed the required credits (90 ECTS in undergraduate studies and 30 ECTS in master's studies) with a minimum grade point average of 7.25.

Students can apply for more than one position, but must submit a cover letter for each application.

• Practical experience from a real and specific project • Opportunity to shape and implement your own ideas • Insight into the activities of non-profit organizations and the third sector • Guidance and assistance from the director and staff • A lively and fun working environment at the St. Jó Center for Quality of Life Marketing and promotional activities A comprehensive marketing plan to better communicate the Parkinson's Association and increase general knowledge of the disease and the organization's activities. • Key messages and target groups: define key messages and identify target groups. • Media: explore which media are best suited for each target group. • Marketing calendar: set up a marketing calendar for the year with regular events that can be linked to the organization's fundraising. • Collaboration: identify potential partners in connection with marketing activities and events. • Media: define ways to promote the organization in the media. • Cost budget: submit a realistic cost budget for implementing marketing and promotional activities.
